When Marvel released Black Panther, it was a big deal for South Africans as it featured the first African superhero and advanced African civilisation - all inspired by real African culture. So we asked ourselves, how can Chicken Licken - South Africa's most iconic fast food brand - hijack the hype around Wakanda Forever to highlight the new Big John burger?

Campaign Idea

We created a campaign called 'Big John beats ya'hunga forever', our very own blockbuster that has everything you'd expect from Hollywood - but with distinct South African nuances. We launched our film on all platforms, on the same day Wakanda Forever was released.
