The challenge: Marlow Gin was the town’s best-kept secret, an award-winning product, but with low local awareness. The challenge was to create a refreshed identity and local presence strong enough to cut through the saturated gin marklet and outperform its size - driving awareness, distribution and sales.
Charting the course
Brand idea: We developed a new brand platform - The Spirit of Marlow, a bold expression of local character and craftsmanship which is distilled into every bottle. This can be brought to life across all channels over time, including tactical campaigns for events and social.
Brand design: We refreshed the identity with a bold new logo featuring a traditional hand-cut typeface, paired with artisanal-inspired labels designed to stand out on the on-trade shelf, highlighting the craft nature of Marlow Gin.
Creative Campaign: We used cutting-edge AI to reimagine the legendary story of Flight Lieutenant Bill Marshall flying his Spitfire under Marlow Bridge. For VE Day’s 80th anniversary, we brought this epic tale to life, celebrating the Spirit of Marlow and pushing creative boundaries to deliver a film beyond the reach of most local distillers.
