Britain's oldest brewer came to us to come up with a new beer brand identity, from name to design, that could cut through one of the most competitive markets you'll ever see. With thousands of craft and premium beers booming, we knew we needed something that not only looked the part, but had a robust name and story behind it. Without that, it didn't stand a chance.

So we delved into the 300 year old archives to uncover a real story from the breweries past - and one which we could bring back for the modern audience to enjoy.

Since launch:

1 million+ pints sold in first 6 months.

Nationwide listing in Tesco.

Sold in over 20 countries worldwide.

Two further brand extensions within 24 months.

2 x World Beer Awards for Design (Bear Island East Coast Pale Ale & Noughty Bear)
